Water is one of life's greatest blessings. It nourishes the body, sustains every living thing, and reminds us that the simplest gifts are often the most essential. In Islam, water is a symbol of mercy, purity, and life. Allah says in the Qur'an, "And We made from water every living thing." (Qur'an 21:30).

In Pakistan, 53,000 children under the age of five die each year due to unsafe water and poor sanitation, while nearly 70% of households still consume bacterially contaminated drinking water. Our sustainable, community-led model addresses this by engaging communities to contribute 20% of project costs, receive operational training, and manage water filtration plants (WFPs) for long-term impact.

Since 2005, our partner Zaman Foundation have established 50 community-led water filtration plants, each providing clean drinking water to approximately 5,000 people. Together, these projects have impacted more than 250,000 lives, creating lasting access to safe water for communities across Pakistan.

Providing water is among the most beautiful forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. If you'd like to be part of this ongoing reward, I'd love for you to join me by donating here.

Lina, a Palestinian Student Studying in a Pakistani University

“After surviving a year of genocide in Gaza, I fled with part of my family while my father and brothers remained behind, and came to Pakistan to continue my education and honor my father’s dream. Now pursuing an MPhil in Applied Linguistics, I hope to challenge harmful narratives and become a voice for Palestine. Despite financial hardships, the kindness of the Pakistani people and the support of The Resilience Support Program (TRSP) — both personal and financial — have helped me rebuild my life with hope and determination.“
