Rahwali, Gujranwala, consists of densely populated communities where many households fall within low- and lower-middle-income groups. A large portion of residents depend on daily wages, informal work, or low-paying jobs, making it difficult to keep up with rising living costs.
As a result, families often struggle to afford nutritious meals. Meat, in particular, is rarely part of their regular diet and is usually reserved for special occasions. Children and elderly members are among the most affected, as they require better nutrition but have limited access to it.
The community is diverse, with Muslim and Christian families living together and facing similar socio-economic challenges. Food insecurity, large household sizes, and unstable incomes continue to place a heavy burden on these families.
Through this Qurbani initiative, deserving households will receive their share of meat during Eid-ul-Adha. This support will not only provide immediate nutritional relief but also allow families to celebrate Eid with dignity and a sense of inclusion.
