Green Town, Lahore, is a densely populated area where many families belong to low-income and lower-middle-income groups. A significant number of residents depend on daily wages or informal work, making it difficult to maintain stable household incomes.
Due to rising expenses and limited earning opportunities, many families struggle to afford basic necessities, including nutritious food. Meat, in particular, is rarely part of their regular diet and is usually reserved for special occasions. Children and elderly members are the most affected, often lacking access to balanced meals.
In Union Council 236, these challenges are even more visible, as large households must stretch limited resources to meet daily needs. Financial instability further increases food insecurity, especially during occasions like Eid-ul-Adha.
Through this Qurbani initiative, vulnerable families will receive their share of meat, helping improve their nutrition and allowing them to participate in the spirit of Eid. This support brings both relief and dignity to households that need it most.
