Union Council 236 in Green Town, Lahore, is home to underserved families facing continuous financial pressure. Many residents work in low-paying or unstable jobs, leaving them vulnerable to inflation and economic uncertainty.
For these households, meeting daily expenses is already a challenge, and access to nutritious food becomes secondary. Protein-rich meals are limited, and meat is often unaffordable outside of special occasions. This lack of proper nutrition impacts overall health, particularly for children and elderly individuals.
The community includes both Muslim and Christian families who share similar struggles and limited access to support systems. Large family sizes and inconsistent incomes further deepen food insecurity.
This Qurbani effort aims to support these families by ensuring fair and respectful distribution of meat during Eid-ul-Adha. By reaching those most in need, the initiative helps reduce immediate hardship while allowing families to celebrate Eid with dignity and inclusion.
