UC 239 in Green Town, Lahore, is a densely populated interfaith community where many households belong to low- and lower-middle-income groups. Most families depend on daily wage labor, small informal work, or low-paying jobs, making financial stability a constant challenge.
Due to rising inflation and limited income opportunities, access to nutritious food remains difficult. Meat is rarely part of regular diets and is usually reserved for special occasions. Children and elderly members are especially affected due to their higher nutritional needs.
The community includes both Muslim and Christian families who share similar socio-economic challenges, including limited access to essential services and growing household pressures.
Through this Qurbani initiative, vulnerable families will receive fresh meat during Eid-ul-Adha, helping improve nutrition while allowing them to celebrate with dignity and inclusion.
