UC 239, Green Town, Lahore, faces multiple socio-economic challenges that deeply affect household well-being. With a population of approximately 29,000 registered voters, a significant portion of residents belong to economically vulnerable groups, including a large Christian minority.
Many families rely on unstable income sources such as daily wage labor and informal employment, making it difficult to meet basic household needs. Limited access to services, including only one dispensary for the entire area, further adds to the challenges faced by residents.
In addition, issues such as youth drug use and lack of adequate recreational and support facilities place further strain on families and community stability.
As a result, access to nutritious food remains limited, and meat is often unaffordable for regular consumption. This Qurbani initiative aims to provide timely relief by ensuring fair distribution of meat among the most deserving households, helping improve nutrition and restore dignity.
