UC 237 in Green Town, Lahore, is a densely populated area where many families fall within low- and lower-middle-income groups. Most households rely on daily wages, informal work, or low-paying jobs, making it difficult to keep up with rising living costs.
Access to nutritious food remains limited, with meat rarely included in everyday meals due to financial constraints. Children and elderly members are particularly vulnerable, as they require better nutrition but often go without it.
The community is interfaith, with Muslim and Christian families living side by side and facing similar economic struggles. Limited resources and lack of stable income opportunities further increase food insecurity.
Through this Qurbani initiative, families will receive their share of meat during Eid-ul-Adha, helping them meet their nutritional needs and celebrate with dignity and inclusion.
